Conclusion

Conclusion
Working on this e-portfolio has been an excellent chance to reflect on my two-and-a-half years at SJSU. The all-online format was really suited to my strengths, and I was able to complete the program much more quickly than I thought I would be able to. I am very disciplined, organized, and passionate about an array of subjects, which meant I enjoyed all of my classes and finished all my work in a timely manner. I appreciate technology, so this program meant I got to try out many new and different programs and applications, some of which I will continue to use.

I knew close to nothing about library and information science when I started, so choosing which path to take was difficult. Eventually, I settled on pursuing more information science classes, as it seemed to fit well with my undergraduate degree in communications and would offer many interesting job opportunities after I graduated. My classes were all fascinating, and my only wish is that I could have taken more! For instance, I didn’t discover that I enjoyed learning about children’s literature until this current semester, in my internship writing LibGuides about the Caldecott Awards. It will be interesting to see what happens after graduation, but even if I do not land a position right away, my time at SJSU was definitely worth it just for the knowledge I gained.
