Virtual Internship Week 1

Hello, everybody. I started this blog for some assignments for LIBR 287, but haven't posted to it since then.

Anyway, as I mentioned in my introduction in the discussion forum, my internship is with Indiana University East as a research assistant. I will be working on LibGuides and an e-book about the Caledcott medal winners and honorees. The library already has the books listed by year; my task is to develop content about the illustrators, themes, and artistic styles used in the books. So right now, I'm just going through the list of Caldecott titles and making some notes and some sample LibGuide boxes. Later in the semester, I will look into platforms for publishing all the content as an e-book.

    I like your choice of texture for the background. The e-book sounds like a very interesting project.

    Kate,
    This sounds like a very fun project! I created a LibGuide for the first time last semester in my 210 class. I really enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to hearing about your experiences at this internship.

    By the way, I love the book you showcased!
